Description

A sophisticated and exclusive wine from the Dão region, showcasing the full potential of old vines and granite terroir. Harvested from the Quinta da Lomba, where there are plots of almost hundred-year-old vines, including dominant Bical, Encruzado, and Malvasia grape varietals, among other indigenous varieties of the region.

2019 was a well-balanced year in the Dão region, with minimal vine treatments and disease. The hot summer and drought led to an early harvest, starting on August 28th for white grapes and September 29th for red grapes. Despite challenges, the wine has a balanced acidity and slightly richer color intensity. Fermented in granite tanks and aged for 20 months in used 228L barrels without bâtonnage or malolactic fermentation at Quinta da Lomba.

Tasting Note: A delightful balance between the oak notes on one side and the citrus, orchard fruits, and hints of aromatic herbs, on the other. A structured and elegant taste. The acidity in the finish brings a lively, long, and fresh sensation.

Origin: Dão, Portugal
