Description
The Aikan 2017 breaks through intercontinental boundaries – a single malt whisky distilled in 2017 in Lorraine, northern France, and aged in the tropical climate of Martinique in new French and American oak barrels. Bottled by Version Francaise with a turnout of only 1,400 bottles, this single malt has a rich and heady aroma of resin, toffee, pepper, peat, roasted pineapple, raisin, hemp, and lily. On the well-balanced palate, notes of liquorice, dark chocolate, smoked malted barley chips, apple, and Mirabelle plum lead to a long and rich finish coloured by aromatic plants.
