This bottling of Arecha Extra Rum was produced shortly after Cuba’s distilleries were nationalised in 1960. It was made in the same distillery founded by the Arechabala family in 1878 in Cadenas, where the iconic Havana Club was born. Over the decades, this rum will have softened in the glass, revealing hints of citrus and light toffee that give way to a rounded vanilla character.
