Description
Don Papa Masskara is a vibrant, 40% ABV expression from the Philippines’ Bleeding Heart Rum Company, celebrating the colourful Masskara Festival of Bacolod. Its foundation is a pot‑distilled aged rum (minimum seven years in American oak), infused with native botanicals – calamansi peel, local honey, and siling labuyo chili – creating a luscious blend of citrus, honeyed sweetness, and a gentle spicy kick. On the nose, expect a bright burst of orange‑honey sweetness, vanilla, and dried fruit; the palate delivers syrupy candied citrus, tropical notes like mango and pineapple, warm spices, and a hint of chili heat, finishing long and rich. Designed for lovers of dessert‑style rums or bold cocktail bases, Masskara is both exuberant and festive – a spirit that truly captures a carnival in a bottle.
