Distilled in 1977, this vintage comes from the year Glenmorangie ended its own floor malting operations, transitioning to lightly peated malt sourced from Murray Firth. The change marks a pivotal moment in the distillery’s history and makes this bottling all the more special. On the palate, rich honeycomb notes are joined by a gentle thread of smoke, a subtle signature of this transitional period. Glenmorangie matured the whisky for 21 years in American oak before bottling it in 1998. A true collector’s item.
