Menu Pineau 2021 by Jean Christophe Jezequel is made in Loire with Menu Pineau grapes and asauvignon
This is the rather rare grape ‘Menu Pineau’. First time trying it, very nice indeed. Kinda like a chenin blanc in style. Sour apple candy, wet stone minerality and white flowers Jean-Christophe Jeyequel grows his grapes on 5 hectares of land featuring soils of clay, sand, and silex over limestone, which are in Faverolles-sur-Cher in the heart of the Tourraine appelation.
