This 40-year-old blend honours master blender Jim Beveridge’s four decades with Johnnie Walker, combining eight carefully selected casks matured for at least 40 years. Rich aromas of stewed plums, butterscotch and toffee apples lead to a complex palate of blackcurrants, smouldering driftwood, cocoa nibs and maraschino cherries, finishing sweet and smoky with pepper and demerara sugar. Presented in a ruby-coloured Baccarat crystal decanter within a bespoke wooden case, this limited edition is a rare collector’s piece.
