Description
This exceptionally old single malt spans the history of two giants of Scotch whisky. Macallan distillery and independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail have a longstanding partnership that dates back to the early 20th century. Though independent bottlings of Macallan are highly sought after, especially those of this age, Gordon & MacPhail continues to acquire and bottle Macallan’s single malt for its Speymalt series. Distilled in 1950 and matured in a refill sherry butt, it is rare bottlings like this that truly showcase the best of Scotch whisky.
