Peterson Balkan Mixture 50g tin

Peterson Balkan Mixture 50g tin, Formerly Balkan Delight – 50g tin

Peterson’s Balkan Mixture offers a smooth and mellow Latakia blend, despite its name suggesting a Balkan-style concoction. Interestingly, no Oriental tobaccos are mentioned in the blend, although this doesn’t negate the presence of spice, thanks to the Perique.

The Latakia’s smoky and woody essence takes centre stage but doesn’t overwhelm, allowing the sweetness of the Virginia to shine through. With the Perique joining the ensemble, a serene peppery bitterness emerges, complementing the smoky undertones splendidly.

Packing the ribbon-cut blend into the bowl is nearly effortless, boasting hues ranging from gold brown to chestnut, with dark tobacco ribbons interwoven throughout. Lighting is a breeze, and maintaining the tobacco’s combustion poses no challenge. Upon opening the tin, expect an aroma reminiscent of smoky pine and oak, coupled with a subtle sweetness and a mild pepper-acetic zest.
