Description
Relaunched in 2016, Yoichi’s non-age-statement single malt exemplifies the chunky, old-school character of Nikka’s Yoichi distillery, which historically took inspiration from Nikka founder Masataka Taketsuru’s spell learning his trade in Campbeltown. The modern iteration is a smoky whisky with a maritime character, and one that’s sometimes overlooked in favour of Japan’s bigger names, but is well worth discovering.
