La Brune has access to some of the highest elevated vineyards in Elgin, South Africa, at 300-350 metres above sea level. The Chardonnay is sourced from clones CY95 and CY277. Whole-bunch pressed and settled for 12 hours before spontaneous fermentation. Aged for 10 months in custom-made, untoasted 500L Burgundian oak barrels, using only second- to fourth-fill oak, preserving purity and freshness. Fresh, pure and clean with aromas of citrus, apples and pears and mineral notes. Light to medium-bodied with a long clean finish.
